Note to Self: "You are not too old & it is not too late". This quote Shows up on my digital photo frame a few times a day.
I put it there to remind me that I am not to old and it is not too late - even at mile marker sixty seven.
I spent most of my childhood living on my father's dream. One hundred sixty acres on the front range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It was a nine mile bus ride to school. We were the last stop on the way to school and the first or second on the way home. At a very young age, I spoke my intentions to my mother that I was going to live in California someday. She knew I didn't know how I would get there or even my reasons why. She did know that I was determined and head strong to pave my own way in life. Needless to say, she was not surprised when I traded in the beautiful Colorado Rockies for the Golden State of California. Fast forward to current day, My four grown daughters do not know what it is like to live anywhere except California. Colorado still holds a big piece of my heart. My Husband and I go there every year for visit, but California is where my roots are planted. I have spent more than fifty years of raising my daughters, thirty five and counting of those years selling real estate and a lifetime of living that is a story all it's own. The characters of my stories are fictional. They are a collection of traits and personalities of the unique and special people that have come in and out of my life.
The Secrets We Carry is my Debut self-written book. It is the first of many to come.
